Parametric Modeling.
DYNAMO FOR REVIT
Parametric design is a forward-thinking approach to architectural design based on the concept of parameters. During the design process, almost every part of the model is constantly changing. Re-creating any model parts is time-consuming and not effective. Using graphical programming the model becomes flexible and you can control it simply by changing the input parameters and generate an infinite number of design variants. Whether building masses, facades, building structure, interior elements such as staircases or railings, or any other model of your choice, the product of our collaboration will be a Dynamo script that you can easily play, change input parameters, and find the best solution for your proposal.

Generative Design
A novelty of the Revit 2021 is a plug-in called Generative Design (for lower Revit versions the Project Refinery). The application works with a parametric model created in Dynamo and automatically creates variants by changing the input parameters, or optimizes the input parameters to achieve the desired goals. With the help of this application, it is possible to process optimizations of mass studies, space planning, generate variants of facades and other elements in the project, optimize views, construction costs, and much more.

Space Planning Project
The aim of this project was to create a script focused on space planning, specifically on the layout of apartment units in a residential building of various shapes with a central longitudinal corridor. Using the Generative design add-in and Dynamo script, whose inputs were mainly the mass of the building, the position of the cores, the approximate position of the corridor drawn by the model line, module for placement of load-bearing walls and the range of apartment sizes, then it was possible to generate a countless amount of variants, it was possible to optimize the results for the required flat mix and thus offer the client the most efficient solutions.
The aim of this project is to automate the design of the kitchen by composing different combinations of kitchen modules. To create a kitchen geometry there is a special family containing a total of 9 types of modules. Among these modules, there are several types of cabinets, stove, oven, sink, refrigerator, and dishwasher. By modeling the floor plan footprint of the kitchen using a special "Kitchen Line" family and uploading it to Dynamo, random placement options for these modules are then generated. The script can generate straight kitchen layouts as well as L-shaped and U-shaped. The script can also be uploaded to Generative Design to get an infinite number of designs straight away.
The case study of the parking lot layout examines the possibilities of designing the parking area given the following parameters: Outline of the parking lot, dimension of the parking space and width of the corridor. Based on these input parameters, the script arranges the parking spaces around the perimeter of the parking area, creates a perimeter corridor and arranges the parking spaces in rows inside. The inner rows are always parallel to one of the four sides of the parking lot outline. Two seeds are included in the script, one controls the displacement of the parking spaces around the perimeter, the other controls the orientation of the inner rows. The script can also be used in Generative Design to find the most optimal solution. The output of the script is the number of parking spaces that you can maximize using generative design.
